About Us Why we became Virtual

Hi My name is Sharron Cloke the founder of Delicious Lemons let me introduce myself.

Born in Burton- on Trent in the Midlands, home of the Breweries and daughter of a Drayman.  I found my little piece of heaven when i moved to Cornwall at the age of 19 and am still here, it has a certain magical draw about it that keeps me within its grasp.  I have two beautiful children (who would hate me calling them that now as they are both in their 20's and have their own lives).  I recently remarried last year  after meeting the love of my life after 11 months of being together (crazy lady i hear you cry), which has given me a totally new outlook on life, no longer the only breadwinner and working to survive but working as a team.

It is by helping to re-brand and relaunch my hubbies business that stirred my passion for business again. It made me realise that although i do not claim to be the best expert in the world at any one thing, I feel that i know more than someone who doesn't.  I like to interpret and understand things in lay mans terms, something that i struggled with when i was attending conferences and training a few years ago when trying to set up a previous venture.  There was so much to take in, so much paperwork to understand, prep and complete, where did i start?  I was lucky to have friends in business who helped point me in the right direction however, sadly, it wasn't the right time for me to shine.  I did, however, take some very valuable lessons from it and it has helped me to form my new business so that i, with my experience, can share my knowledge with you.

And there's more ...

There is far more to me, with other qualifications that i have, including a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and PTTLLS Level 4 which enables me to teach 16+ age groups.

So, as you can glean from this i have a well rounded view on the world of aspects of work and would be delighted to be a part of your journey too.

Our service includes a comprehensive consultation to help identify gaps and opportunities, a comprehensive report that includes  an Action Plan and a detailed quotation should you wish to proceed with us.  We also offer  a suite of quality services that will help you get there quickly and smoothly. Employee VS Virtual Assistant (VA)

You may be at a point within your business wondering what to do with the ever increasing mountain of paperwork in your intray.  You may have a project that you need some help with or only want some ad hoc work completed to help you to catch up.  The dilemma you may have especially if you are a sole trader or small business is, 'i'm growing, but how do i employ someone to help me address these things'?

Things to consider

  • How much you are willing to pay an employee and the implications this can mean to your business regarding pay and workers rights?
  • Do you need bigger premises to allow for work space and additional costs of setting this up as an office?
  • The ongoing costs of renting that space, the list goes on.
  • A VA works in their own space reducing the need to set up a specific space and relative costs.
  • They are self employed and responsible for their own finances invoicing you only for work completed as opposed to time you would pay an employed person for downtime, holidays and sick pay.
  • The rates that a VA would charge you for may seem more initially, however, in the grand scheme of things, only charge for work completed.
  • You can pay for a retainer which will ensure they are dedicated to you for a certain amount of time on a weekly or monthly basis but a contract with a VA can be a movable feast without all the headache of a full or part time employee.

Of course you should weigh up your options and see what fits with you and your business it costs nothing to make enquiries, go on have a look around, ask for a few quotes and on balance you may feel that the flexibility would work better for you.
